Radial Shockwave Therapy is cutting-edge technology that's proven to increase healing speeds for soft tissue injuries and areas of inflammation.
It is an advanced, non-invasive, and highly effective treatment method that enhances blood circulation and accelerates the healing process so that your body can replace damaged tissue with new, healthy tissue.

What conditions can we treat with Shockwave Therapy?

How does ShockWave Therapy work?

When pain becomes chronic, your body loses the ability to recognize a problem, so it stops trying to heal your inflammation. However, when we treat an inflamed area with the ballistic sound waves of our EnPuls Shockwave Therapy machine, they penetrate deep through your soft tissue, causing a microtrauma or new inflammatory condition to the treated area. This allows your body to recognize a problem, triggering its natural healing response once again.

At the same time, the machine's emitted energy helps your soft tissue cells release bio-chemicals that intensify that healing process. This allows tiny new blood vessels to form in your soft tissue, dramatically reducing the typical healing times for injuries. In fact, this treatment is so effective that studies show it has an average success rate of 80%.

What to Expect

Once you decide to undergo Shockwave Therapy, you will receive one treatment each week for a period of 4 to 5 weeks.
Each treatment session should last approximately 5 minutes, but times will vary depending on the size and number of areas treated.

During that session, we will apply an applicator to the target treatment area, administering the ballistic waves by moving over the
affected area in a very slow, circular motion. During the treatment, there may be some minor discomfort, but it will be temporary and resolve immediately after the session is complete.

Who is a candidate for Radial Shockwave Therapy?

Many patients could benefit from this treatment option; it provides effective pain relief without the risks, complications, and lengthy recovery periods associated with other treatment options. There are no incisions and no risk of infection, or scar tissue, like with surgery. Plus, there is no need for anesthesia during treatment, and you can resume all activities immediately after your session ends. Many patients find a significant and immediate reduction in their pain with just one treatment session, though you will need several sessions to experience the full results. In rare cases, you may experience mild skin bruising after treatment, but few side effects are associated with this treatment option.
